TIPS FOR TUESDAY

5 Tips to Healthier Thanksgiving Eating

1. DON'T GO HUNGRY - Don't go to the Thanksgiving dinner hungry: we often eat faster and more when we are hungry - therefore eat a wholesome breakfast and lunch on the day to avoid overeating at dinner time.

2. GO SKINLESS - Turkey - go skinless: choose your 4-oz turkey portion skinless to slash away some fat and cholesterol. Save your appetite for the side dishes and desserts.

3. PORTION IT OUT - Make your portions smaller so you can have more of a variety of everything.

4.DRINK WATER - Drink plenty of water: it fills you up and keeps you hydrated,

5. LOW FAT - Substitute high fat ingredients with lower-fat or fat-free ingredients. Cutting some fat can really reduce calorie intake.
